The blockbuster book of all time A BURNING Published by Penguin House. A Burning is a novel by Indian-Born author Megha Majumdar. It was released in June 2020 and utmost become a bestseller.
The novel tells the story of its main character Jivan, a Muslim woman who witnesses radical viciousness on an Indian train while it is stopped at a location. The woman posts carless orientation to Facebook the next day, graphic the kindness of police who arrested her on mistrust of obligating the terrorist attack herself. Following the allegation, her fate hinges upon her former Gym teacher, PT Sir is an unprincipled gym teacher who hitches his ambition to a right-wing political party and finds that his own scaling becomes linked to Jivan’s descent.
MEGHA MAJUMDAR was born and raised in Kolkata, India. She moved to the United States to attend college at Harvard University, where she was a Taube Scholar, followed by graduate school in social anthropology at Johns Hopkins University. She works as an associate editor at Catapult and lives in New York City recently.
Majumdar's writing style has been compared to that of jumpa lehri Time magazine said that "Megha Majumdar presents a powerful corrective to the political narratives that have dominated in contemporary India."
